  • ELKOM short-cycle heating platens
have been developed to increase the veneering performance on standard and continuous veneer presses. Industrial veneering performances can already be achieved on standard veneer presses as a result of the special design of the heating platens in combination with specially adapted microprocessor electronic control systems (e.g. pressing time 60 sec at a constant temperature of 130 °C).
  • Performance increase
for the veneer press of up to 100 %
  • Short-cycle pressing
    at temperatures of 130 °C
  • Twice the press output, but only approx. 30 % more energy needed
compared to the ELKOM combined heating platen, which means rapid amortization.
  • Maximum operational safety
thanks to the reinforced sandwich construction of the very durable heating platens.
  • Parts in all sizes can be processed easily in veneering plants designed for batch production.
  • Automatic temperature control
  • Wear-resistant gold anodized surfaces as standard
for easy maintenance and improved results.

Technical data

  • ELKOM system profile heating platens
have been designed to meet the call for large-area heating systems with a high load capacity for fitting to presses and systems, e.g. for solid timber bonding and lamination, for heating- and casting tables, polyurethane tool carriers and foaming plants, and also in plant construction.
  • The system-specific advantages of the ELKOM combined electrical heating platen
in combination with the self-supporting aluminium system profile sandwich make an extremely pressure-resistant and torsion-free assembly.
  • Ideal for solid timber- and laminating presses,
and wherever there is a risk of excessive spot loads due to repeated pressing of small parts or tolerance-compliant material.
  • Improved temperature stability  due to increased heat storage capacity
e.g. with veneer ironing presses or door presses
  • Improved pressure statics,
in particular with weaker press tables or table constructions with wide beam flanges and large distances between beams.
  • Wear-resistant gold anodized surfaces as standard,
which means considerably less cleaning and care effort and a better surface quality of the pressed parts.
  • Problem-free servicing
thanks to the "modular system". All parts can be easily exchanged or repaired.
